SEO is the best way so far to get organic traffic and it’s FREE, but it takes time usually between 3 and 6 months to start seeing the results.

But, What should  I do to optimize my blog for SEO?

If you are a beginner I highly recommend using Yoast SEO which is a plugin that helps you optimize your content by using a traffic light system.

It will give you tasks to complete to make sure your articles are optimized for Google search and give you a green light when you have everything set up properly. This is GREAT for beginners who don’t really know how SEO works or what to do.

In addition, there are some Tips to Optimize Your Blog’s Content:

  • Optimize your title and meta description.
  • You should be doing homework, I mean keyword research, There are a lot of tools out there to search for keywords like Google Keyword Planner and  Moz Keyword Explorer.

2. Promote Your Blog on Social Media

Social media is a powerful tool for bloggers, and you can use it to drive traffic to your blog and build a loyal following.

To get started, create a social media profile for your blog, and share links to your blog’s posts on your profiles. Additionally, you can use social media to engage with your followers and build a strong relationship with them. This will help you build a loyal following, and encourage them to share your blog with their own followers, which can help you reach a larger audience.

By using social media you can get targeted traffic to your blog really fast, because everyone is on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.

  • You can use whatever social media platform you like or feel comfortable with.
  • Don’t start out on every social media platform or you will get overwhelmed. start with one traffic source and really focus on it.
  • I recommend starting out with Pinterest. it’s least-competitive than other social platforms

3. Use Email Marketing

Email marketing is another effective way to increase your blog’s traffic. By building an email list, you can reach your audience directly, and keep them informed about new blog posts, special offers, and other updates.

As a blogger, the most powerful asset you could have is a big email list. It can be used to drive massive amounts of traffic, sell products, and build strong relationships with your readers. It gives you direct access to your audience, so you can update them once you write a new blog post,  to ensure your content will quickly be seen by thousands of people right off the bat. However, like anything worth having, building a strong email list takes time and focus.

This has by far been the biggest driver of growth and revenue for my blog, and something I can not suggest enough. I recommend using ConvertKit!

4. Guest Post on Other Blogs

Guest blogging is a great way to get more traffic to your blog. You can reach a new audience, increase your brand awareness, and even get links back to your site.

The best way to get started with guest blogging is by finding blogs in the same niche as yours and reaching out to them. The classic email template for guest post requests includes an introduction of yourself, a brief explanation of why you’re interested in guest posting on their blog, and what you have to offer.

Some blogs will require that you provide a link back to your site or other social media profiles before they’ll consider accepting your request. Be sure that all the links are live before sending the email.

5. Offer Valuable Content

Finally, the most important way to increase your blog’s traffic is by offering valuable content. This means writing blog posts that are informative, engaging, and relevant to your audience.

Make sure that you’re writing blog posts that are valuable to your audience, and that you’re sharing your expertise and knowledge in a way that is easy to understand.

Additionally, make sure that you’re providing valuable resources, such as infographics, videos, and other helpful tools, that your audience can use to learn more about your niche.
